Mallee properties

Trust for Nature owns two properties in Mallee as listed below.

 Ned's Corner

Trust for Nature purchased Victoria's largest freehold property, Ned's Corner, in 2002 with assistance from The RE Ross Trust, the Natural Heritage Trust's National Reserve System program and The Nature Conservancy.

The 30,000 hectare property, is on the Murray River, near Mildura.  Since 2002, Trust for Nature has rehabilitated the former sheep and cattle station by stopping all grazing of the land to allow for the gradual regeneration of natural vegetation.

Boundary Bend


Trust for Nature purchased this 1517 hectare property at Boundary Bend near Swan Hill in 2001.

It is an important remnant of the Murray Darling Depression with over 26 threatened flora species recorded on the property as well as 11 fauna species.

These include the endangered Tessellated Gecko, Malleefowl, Hooded Robin, Tree Goanna and Regent Parrot.
