A secure website is one which uses a method of encryption to transfer data between websites and servers.

Trust For Nature has a combination of unsecured web pages - pages that are used for general browsing and secure web pages - pages that be used to transmit sensitive information such as credit card details or personal information. This done via the use of a SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL Transaction - standard protocol for transaction security - is an encrypted link between your Server and your Customer's browser. Once the link is established all communication between your Server and your Customer's browser will remain confidential. You can always check at the status bar of your browser or in the 'URL bar' if you have entered a secure section of our website.

If you see a web address in the ‘URL bar’ of your browser that starts with https, you know that whatever data you enter in to page (eg. Credit card details on a form) will be transferred securely to our server. A padlock symbol is also used in some browsers to indicate that you are viewing a secure page.

All Donations are processed via the EWAY e-commerce gateway. EWAY transmits credit card transactions safely over the Internet directly to banks for real-time authorisation. We use EWAY's payment gateway which use the highest form of encryption on their servers, SSL 128 bit.

Customer credit card details are encrypted before they are sent over the Internet directly to our banking institution. Consequently, not even our staff at Trust For Nature will ever be able to see or record your credit card details. Therefore customers can feel confident knowing your transactions are being dealt with in the most secure environment available!

Trust For Nature employs unique technology to allow website visitors to quickly validate our right to display a TrustLogo and to easily view our credentials, as verified by a trusted third party. By simply pointing your cursor at our TrustLogo, a real-time request for validation of our identity is made to the IdAuthority. Our credentials are returned in a dynamically generated 'certificate' providing peace of mind.
