Conservation Bulletin – Issue 80 // September 2024
We couldn’t do what we do without landholders, supporters and partner organisations. Like the intricate relationships that permit an ecosystem to function, it is these relationships that support us with the resources, knowledge and connections that are necessary to reverse the loss of nature.
In this issue of our Conservation Bulletin, you’ll read about some of these partnerships that are helping Victoria’s most threatened wildlife and plants.
You’ll learn about how we’re partnering with the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria to reintroduce incredibly rare orchids to conservation covenants and Trust for Nature reserves.
And how partnerships with First Peoples, government and business are providing hope for one of our most threatened ecosystems – the grasslands of northern Victoria.
Closer to Melbourne, team member Ben Cullen takes us on the ground around the city where threatened species like the Powerful Owl and Growling Grass Frog still persist.
Happy reading, and thank you for supporting Trust for Nature.
