Together we can help preserve, protect and rehabilitate Victoria’s natural assets and vulnerable native species.
Over the last 50 years, thanks to the tremendous support from people like you, we’ve secured more than 1,500 covenants and protected nearly 110,000 hectares of habitat on private land forever. These places are home to some of our rarest species, like the Helmeted Honeyeater, Growling Grass Frog and Plains-wanderer.
With more than 60% of land in the state privately owned, our work is central to the survival of Victoria’s spectacular wild places and the native plants and animals that make their homes there. Sadly we are still losing several thousand hectares of native vegetation to clearing each year. Climate change is also having drastic effects on the health of our ecosystems and wildlife through increased temperatures, extended drought and increased frequency of wildfires. It’s why long-term protection of what remains is absolutely critical to the future of our precious ecosystems and species.
With the ongoing support of private landholders, government agencies, organisations and businesses, we can protect and restore biodiversity on private land so that wildlife and native plants can thrive now, and for generations to come. We use many methods to achieve our conservation goals and preserve Victoria’s future but none of them are possible without your exceptional support and continued generosity.
Thank you for giving nature a fighting chance by sharing our vision and believing in our work.
