Hectare by hectare, we’re protecting nature

Victoria’s natural wonder fills us with awe.

Yet every day, the pressures on our landscapes increase.

To restore and protect it is big, ongoing work, but person by person, hectare by hectare, we are creating landscape-level, generational change.

Make a tax-deductible donation this summer to join the people who are helping to protect and heal private land across Victoria, so native habitats and wildlife can thrive into the future.

“I strongly believe private land conservation is central to protecting and enhancing biodiversity—not just in Victoria, but across Australia and internationally.”
– Clive, owner of a spectacular property in Fyans Creek and covenantor since 2020
Catherine and Clive bought their Fyans Creek property near Gariwerd, the Grampians, in 2013. Since then, they’ve worked tirelessly to care for the land – preserving what was still intact, and restoring that which wasn’t. Now, the property is a healthy, thriving biodiversity hotspot, home to threatened species like Powerful Owls and enormous, centuries-old River Red Gums. It is now humming with life all year round, supporting a vibrant mix of plants and insects, birds and animals.

The best part? It’s protected forever with a conservation covenant – so all the hard work will last, no matter what.

It’s both thrilling and inspiring to see what Trust for Nature and private landholders can do to protect and restore our landscapes when we come together in active stewardship.

But this kind of transformation doesn’t happen by accident. The reality is, it takes hard work, dedication and expertise. And we know we can and must do more to help landholders like Catherine and Clive care for nature.

This summer, please join the incredible Victorians who are helping to protect and heal private land hectare by hectare across our state.

Your gift will put more boots on the ground to help landholders restore ecosystems, promote biodiversity and protect endangered species for generations to come.

For you.

For your family.

For future generations.

For the world.

The wonder of nature, and everything nature has to offer, has been given to us as a gift.

Each one of us is responsible for taking care and looking after the natural wonders of Victoria — from rainforests to deserts, coasts to mountains.

In the face of climate change and continued vegetation loss, Trust for Nature’s role is increasingly important in preserving Victoria’s remaining native habitat.

Only with your help will we be able to maintain and protect these wonders forever.
