Trust for Nature is a not-for-profit Conservation organisation that works to protect native plants and wildlife in cooperation with private landholder. Created in 1972 under the Victorian Conservation Trust Act 1972 (Vic), Trust for Nature has a proud history of working across the government, not-for profit and private sectors to achieve permanent protection of important conservation land across Victoria.

About the role
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Property Transactions Manager is a senior leadership role within the Development Team. In this role, you will work to strengthen and grow the volume, efficiency and performance of our property transactions to enable increased conservation impact. This impact will be achieved through maximizing property opportunities, partnerships, donations, sales and the performance and scale of the Revolving Fund.
You will invest time, energy and expertise to build Trust for Nature’s brand awareness with relevant audiences and use your expertise to oversee property transaction/deal success, continually supporting team members to deepen Trust for Nature’s capability in this growing area of opportunity.
This is a permanent ongoing, full-time position based in Melbourne CBD with regular travel throughout Victoria. Trust for Nature is supportive of flexible work and remote work arrangements.
The role offers a base salary of $109,160 p.a., plus super. This is not a commission-based role.

About you
We are searching for someone with deep real estate and property industry knowledge who ideally has an understanding of private land conservation.
To be successful in this role you will bring;
- Qualifications and significant experience in real estate and the property sector.
- Evidence of expertise, competence and commerciality in land transactions and property deals.
- Respected knowledge base about regional Victorian property, with existing networks across the state.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in private land conservation is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, sales and relationship building skills.
- Experience in senior leadership role across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in nature markets (including offsets) is desirable
