Trust for Nature
Join an organisation that safeguards a future for Victoria’s unique natural environment
- Support the improvement of our ICT architecture
Trust for Nature is one of Australia’s oldest conservation organisations, and works closely with private landholders, government, organisations, Traditional Owners and businesses to help restore, protect and manage biodiversity on private land.
With staff and offices across Victoria, Trust for Nature uses a variety of methods to achieve its conservation goals, including a conservation covenant – a voluntary, legal agreement made between a private landholder and Trust for Nature that protects the land forever. Trust for Nature also owns more than 40 conservation properties across Victoria.
ICT at Trust for Nature
Trust for Nature has over 70 staff, located in offices in Melbourne and in regional Victoria, with a mix of field work, office-based work and work from home. As well as a dispersed workforce, ongoing challenges include poor and intermittent internet access for regional teams.
A range of data types (including relational, financial, ecological, property, spatial) are managed through the following platforms and applications:
- Salesforce
- Technology 1
- Office 365 and Sharepoint
- ESRI / ArcGIS
- Trust for Nature website
- On premise servers (migration to Cloud in progress)
