Trust for Nature is seeking to work with woolgrowers across the Northern Plains to improve the habitat of their grassland covenants.
Successful applicants will receive up to $5,000 in on-ground works funded by this project. Possible works include weed and pest control, relevant infrastructure improvements, and other appropriate conservation activities. Covenants will also receive ecological assessments and updated management advice.
To receive support through this project applicants must be woolgrowers who own a covenant with native grassland habitat. Eligible covenantors will be selected for involvement based on their relative conservation needs. Priority will be given to properties that contain the EPBC listed ecological community: The Natural Grasslands of the Murray Valley Plains.
On-ground works will be carried out between November 2025 and June 2026.
Applications close 12 September, 2025. During the EOI process we may contact you for more information. Successful applicants will be notified in by 1 October, 2025.
