Help us look after Clarkesdale Bird Sanctuary! At this working working bee we’ll be marking rabbit burrows and weeding Bluebell Creeper.
With the past few years of wet spring and summer, rabbit numbers are creeping up and up. With so many lilies and orchids at Clarkesdale, we need to transect the Reserve, GPS-ing and flagging rabbit warrens so that we can fumigate this year.
Also courtesy of the past few years’ climate, Bluebell Creeper is taking off throughout the Reserve. When the soil is moist and friable, it is quite easily removed by hand.
