Please come and join Trust for Nature, students from the local secondary school and Gadubanud traditional owner Richard Collopy for a walk, talk and weed at Marriners Lookout and Henriksen Sanctuary.
A series of grants over the past four years have facilitated the creation of a small walking track within Henriksen Sanctuary as well as many hours of weed control within the Sanctuary and along Marriners Lookout Track. We now wish to welcome conservation-minded locals and visitors to the site and initiate connection and custodianship.
Meet at the Marriners Lookout car park @ midday Thursday 25th May
We will make our way up to Marriners Lookout and do some cut and painting of Spanish Heath, before walking down Marriners Lookout Road to the entrance of Henriksen Sanctuary where we will have some sweet treats. We will then take a walk through the Sanctuary and return back up to the car park.
Note: Due to terrain and site conditions, a level of sure-footedness and fitness is required. Please bring gloves, water and any useful tools e.g. secateurs, hand trowels.
