Creating a future where people and nature thrive together.

Will you support our matched giving appeal this year? A matched giving appeal can raise considerable profile to Trust for Nature’s critical conservation projects in Victoria and support us to engage new and historical donors with our work.

Matched giving appeals are demonstrated to raise more, strengthening our ability to rehabilitate and restore Victoria’s ecosystems for future generations.

You can double your impact by supporting Trust for Nature’s matched giving appeal.

Please donate online or making your gift directly via the details below.

What's at stake? What do we stand to lose if we don't act now?

In 2023, Trust for Nature’s tax appeal will raise attention to Victoria’s most at-risk native habitat – areas around the state that could be lost forever if not urgently protected.

What’s at stake if we don’t act now? We’ll invite new and historical supporters to participate in a campaign that explains the critical role Trust for Nature is playing in protecting habitat for native plants and animals, before its lost forever.

By joining our matched giving campaign, you will be contributing directly to protecting our threatened plants, animals, and their habitats, as well as:

  • Inspiring existing supporters: the knowledge that their contributions will be matched inspires our current supporters to remain engaged and committed to our cause, further solidifying their connection to our mission.
  • Leveraging your support for greater impact: matched giving encourages donors to contribute more than they might have otherwise, knowing that their gift will be doubled, which in turn generates more funds for our conservation projects.
  • Attracting new supporters: matched giving campaigns often catch the attention of new donors who are drawn to the opportunity to maximise their impact and be part of a collective effort to protect and preserve Victoria’s natural treasures.

Our plan to protect nature.

Trust for Nature is guided by our Statewide Conservation Plan. This provides an overarching, statewide, scientific framework to guide conservation on private land in Victoria.

The plan prioritises protection of the most threatened ecosystems, wetlands, plant and animal species such as the Plains-wanderer, Golden Sun Moth and Fat-tailed Dunnart.

Last year, thanks to your fantastic support, we:

  • Registered 40 new covenants in 15 of Victoria’s 28 bioregions.
  • Added 2,358 ha of habitat to be safeguarded forever by working with landholders, Traditional Owners, donors, partners and government.  This brings the total area we’ve protected to 111,262 ha of private land.
  • Begun the process of returning the 30,000 ha Neds Corner Station to its Traditional Owners in Ngintait Country – a big step forward in our journey of reconciliation.
  • Celebrated 50 years of protecting Victoria’s environment.

With your continued support, Trust for Nature will continue to protect our most iconic species, keep common species common and ensure there are always places for nature to thrive in Victoria.
