Welcome to our new Trustees
Trust for Nature is pleased to announce a significant expansion and strengthening of our Board of Trustees, as we seek to increase conservation efforts on private land in Victoria.
We are also delighted that Andrew Brookes will continue as Chair, and Nina Braid will continue as Deputy Chair.
Andrew, Nina and ongoing Trustees, Sonya Rand and Jill Smith AM, are joined by six new members of the Board: Amy Auster, Graham Phelan, Dr Leeora Black, Mark Beaufoy, Tri Duc Nguyen and Tut Tut.
“There’s never been a more critical time to protect nature as we face climate change and ongoing threats to habitat. I’m thrilled to welcome our new Trustees and look forward to working with them as we build momentum around private land conservation in Victoria,” said Andrew Brookes, whose property on the Bellarine Peninsula is protected forever with a conservation covenant.
“The depth and diversity of experience our new Trustees bring will set us up to achieve our ambitious strategic goals over the next five years,” says Nina Braid. “Together I am looking forward to increasing resources for private land conservation and strengthening and building partnerships with landholders, Traditional Owners/Custodians, Government and the private sector.”
We thank the Board for their astute guidance and ongoing dedication to conservation.
