Project
Private land recovery from Western Victoria Bushfires
Increasing support for landholders
Recent bushfires across Gariwerd and the Little Desert resulted in 4,500 hectares of private land being impacted across 20 conservation covenants, and Trust for Nature’s own Snape Reserve.
In response to the bushfires, and with support from The Victorian Government, Trust for Nature will deliver a Landholder Support Program to support these fire impacted covenantors across Southwest Victoria.
Via the Landholder Support Program, fire-impacted covenantors can apply for support to the value of up to $3,000 (incl. GST), with a total of up to $50,000 available across Victoria.
Applications are open from 2 January-31 January 2026.
This project has been jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Victoria under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
Please read the FAQs on this page thoroughly before proceeding with an application.
