Explore Pirron Yallock
Just 15km from Colac, sits this 64 hectare parcel of high conservation value land. Pirron Yallock offers a rare opportunity to contribute to environmental preservation while enjoying the flexibility of domestic land use.
The property supports extensive areas of Stony Rises Woodland (eucalypt), a community classified as Vulnerable in the Victorian Volcanic Plains bioregion. Within the woodland environment, there are numerous small-medium-sized wetlands, each apparently unique in species composition, yet interconnected throughout the landscape.
Nationally threatened species have been recorded by Trust for Nature staff including Swamp Everlasting and Australasian Bittern. Regionally significant Slender Bitter-cress has also been recorded on site.
The site includes an area of up to 2 ha, located within the Modified Use Tier that can be used for domestic use, subject to covenant conditions and STCA, as well as an area of 4.33 not covered by the conservation covenant.
This unique site is adjacent to Pirron Yallock Creek, neighbouring wetlands, gorge terrain and grazing land and is ideal for those passionate about conservation and protecting significant fauna.
