A variety of trees cover the property, including Messmate Stringybark, Eurabbie and Mountain Grey Gum. Shrubs found include Snowy Daisy-bush, Hop Goodenia and Prickly Currant-bush

Located in the Strzelecki Ranges Bioregion, Kestrel’s Perch contains an endangered ecological community and habitat for koalas, part of the endemic Strzelecki / South Gippsland population

Conservation covenant: As a condition of sale a Trust for Nature Conservation Covenant will be placed on the property title to protect the ecological values of Kestrel’s Perch. Typically an allowance for a dwelling, in an appropriate area, is made within the covenant for all Revolving Fund properties.
