Conservation Bulletin 71

Published February 2020

Welcome to issue #71. Many landholders who have conservation covenants have been impacted by bushfires and we will support them for as long as it takes to help habitat recover. More information on the bushfires inside.

We introduce you to landholders who have transformed a dam to create a wildlife haven and you will meet a family that has taken on a property with a conservation covenant and is experiencing the thrill of watching native species return.  Plus advice if you’re selling a covenanted property and we introduce you to a new conservation community 1.5 hours north of Melbourne.

Conservation Bulletin 72

Published August 2020

Welcome to issue #72. It has been a tough eight months and we hope what you read in this issue of the Conservation Bulletin brings a smile to your face and a feeling of optimism.

One hundred and eight landholders across the state are in the process of putting a conservation covenant on their properties which will protect them forever. You can find out more in this issue.

We also introduce you to a family helping land recover after the bushfires, plus you’ll read about a collaborative effort to protect the Brolga and the role of covenants in looking after Aboriginal cultural heritage.

If you’re in the market for your very own nature reserve you won’t want to miss the article about buying a property with a conservation covenant. Inside this issue we also talk about the work we’re doing to increase environmental sustainability and farming.
